Frequently asked questions
How is this different from remove metadata?
Here the gear identification and technical block are voided, but other blocks (e.g. color profile) are kept. Remove metadata strips absolutely everything.
Is the date removed too?
Yes: the capture date lives in the technical block and is voided with it. If you need to keep it, use Remove location for GPS only.
Is my image uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything is processed on your device; for metadata and privacy this matters most, which is why it is guaranteed by design.
Does it work for PNG?
PNGs do not carry this kind of camera EXIF: use Remove metadata to clean them.
