Frequently asked questions
Will it look the same as in Word?
Very close: same pagination, styles and spacing. Fonts are replaced by the standard PDF ones (Helvetica, Times, Courier), so the letters are not identical even though they take up the same room.
What about pictures and charts?
Inserted pictures (JPG, PNG) appear in place, including floating ones with text around them. Drawn shapes, charts and embedded objects are not included yet; the result tells you if the document had any.
And equations?
Word equations are laid out: stacked fractions, scripts, radicals, sums and integrals with their limits, and matrices. Greek letters and symbols are drawn with the Symbol font.
What about old .doc files?
Only .docx and .docm for now. Open the .doc in Word and save it as .docx.
Is my document uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything happens in your browser, start to finish.
