Can you recover a forgotten password?
No, and distrust anyone who says yes: with AES-256 it is not feasible. This tool only repacks when you know the password.
Is the original ZIP modified?
No: a new ZIP without a password is generated; the original stays as it was.
Is compression lost?
The content is recompressed with standard deflate; the final size is practically equivalent.
