Frequently asked questions

Why is my GIF so heavy?

GIF is a 1987 format: it is huge compared to video. Lower the fps, width or duration; for long clips, sharing the MP4 is better.

How much video can I convert?

No hard limit, but beyond 10-15 seconds a GIF gets enormous. Use the from/to interval.

Does the GIF have sound?

No, the GIF format does not support audio.

Why does the first conversion take a moment to start?

On first use the ffmpeg engine (about 32 MB) is downloaded from this same site; it stays cached afterwards. The conversion itself depends on video length and your hardware.
