How much does an image shrink?
JPG photos at 70–80% quality typically drop 40–70%. Already-optimized PNGs barely shrink, and we tell you so honestly.
Is the quality loss visible?
At 75–85% it's practically invisible on screen; below 60% it starts showing in gradients and edges.
Why doesn't my PNG get smaller?
PNG is lossless: only its packaging can be optimized. For photos in PNG, converting to WEBP or JPG saves far more.
Does the resolution change?
No, this tool only recompresses. To reduce pixels use Resize image.
