Which TIFFs are supported?
Single or multi-page TIFF (first page converted), with none/LZW/deflate compression. Exotic TIFFs (legacy JPEG-in-TIFF, 16-bit channels) may not decode.
Do I lose quality?
JPG is lossy at your chosen quality; at 90% the difference is practically invisible.
