Which AI does it use and where does it run?
An open segmentation model (U²-Net, Apache license) executed with WebAssembly IN YOUR BROWSER: the image is never sent to a server. On first use the engine and model (about 19 MB) download from this same site.
How does it handle hair and fine edges?
With clear subjects the result is very good; loose hair and very busy backgrounds are the limit of any compact model. We are honest: for hard cases, check the before/after comparison.
Good for product photos?
Yes, one of the best cases: centered product and distinct background = clean cutout. You can then add a white background for marketplaces.
What about logos on white?
