Your files never leave your device
How to convert MOBI to EPUB
- 1
Drop your .mobi file
.prc and unprotected .azw work too. The conversion starts on its own.
- 2
The book is rebuilt as EPUB
The text is split into chapters, the images are recovered and the book details are filled in.
- 3
Download the .epub
Apple Books, Google Play Books, Kobo, Calibre and almost any reader will open it.
Why use this tool
Nothing is uploaded
The book is converted inside your browser: it travels to no server.
Chapters, not one long slab
A MOBI stores the whole book in one piece; here it is split at its page breaks so the EPUB has chapters and a contents list.
With images and cover
The book's illustrations are recovered one by one and the cover is marked as such.
And when it can't be done, it says so
A DRM book will not open, and the tool tells you plainly instead of handing you an empty file.
Frequently asked questions
Does it work with books bought from Amazon?
No. Those carry DRM: they are encrypted and only Amazon's app with your account opens them. Removing that protection is not something this tool does. DRM-free books do work.
What about AZW3 files?
If the file carries the classic MOBI part inside — many do — yes. If it is a 'pure' AZW3, the tool tells you instead of producing half a book.
Is anything lost on the way?
Text, images, cover, title and author are kept. What the MOBI no longer had — fonts, fine styling — cannot appear out of nowhere.
Why would I want an EPUB?
It is the open standard: nearly every reader and app opens it, and it does not tie you to one store.
Do I need to install Calibre?
No. All of this happens on the web, in your browser, with nothing installed.
