Frequently asked questions
PNG or JPG for my HEIC photos?
JPG is much lighter and great for sharing. PNG is lossless: better for editing, screenshots, or when you do not want recompression.
Why is the PNG bigger than the original HEIC?
HEIC uses modern lossy compression; PNG is lossless. A bigger PNG is expected.
Which files are accepted?
.heic and .heif from iPhone, iPad and compatible cameras. Generic mif1/msf1 containers are attempted too.
Is there a photo limit?
The site-wide per-file limit applies; in batches your device memory rules. With huge photos, fewer at a time is better.
