Frequently asked questions
How is this different from PDF to JPG?
PDF to JPG converts each full page into an image; this tool extracts the individual photos and graphics embedded inside the pages.
Why doesn't it find images in my PDF?
The document may contain only text and vectors, or its images may use non-extractable internal formats. Tiny ones (under 24 px) are discarded.
Are they extracted at original quality?
They're recovered at the resolution they're embedded with — the maximum quality available in the document.
Does it work with scans?
Yes: each scanned page is usually one big embedded image, and it's extracted whole.
