Frequently asked questions

Does changing DPI improve quality?

No. DPI only tells printers how many pixels per inch to use: it changes the physical print size, not the detail. More detail needs more pixels.

Why does my printer ask for 300 DPI?

It is the standard density for sharp printing. This tool declares 300 DPI without re-encoding the image.

Does it work with WEBP or AVIF?

No: binary DPI can only be written into JPG and PNG. Convert your image first.

Is my image uploaded to a server?

No. All processing happens on your device using the browser itself; the image never leaves it.
