Frequently asked questions
Does boosting a lot distort?
It can: above 100% the peaks may clip. If you want a uniform level without distortion, use Normalize audio.
What does 0% do?
It silences the audio completely (useful to generate a mute track of the same duration).
Does the duration change?
No: only the amplitude changes. Duration, sample rate and channels stay the same.
