Frequently asked questions
Does boosting a lot distort the sound?
It can: amplifying past the digital ceiling clips the signal. If 200–300% sounds crunchy, try a lower level.
Does the video lose quality?
No: the video track is copied bit for bit. Only the audio is re-encoded at the new volume.
Can I mute it completely?
Yes — the 0% preset strips the track, same as the Mute video tool.
