Frequently asked questions
How is this different from grayscale?
Here every pixel ends up black or white, no in-between tones: threshold binarization, like a photocopy.
Which threshold?
Start at 128; raise it if too much comes out black, lower it if thin strokes disappear.
Which formats are accepted?
JPG, PNG, WEBP, AVIF, BMP and GIF (first frame). The output keeps the original format when possible.
Is my image uploaded to a server?
No. All processing happens on your device using the browser itself; the image never leaves it.
