Frequently asked questions
Is the cut exact?
Yes: the clip is re-encoded so it starts and ends exactly where you asked, independent of the original's keyframes.
Why re-encode instead of copying?
Copy-based cutting can only start on keyframes (every 2–10 s), so it would be imprecise. We prefer an exact cut even if it takes a bit longer.
Can I type the times manually?
Yes: in seconds (90) or minutes:seconds (1:30), besides the sliders.
Is there a size limit?
The site-wide limit is 250 MB per file; everything is processed in your browser's memory.
