Frequently asked questions
Resize or change resolution?
Change resolution uses standard presets (1080p, 720p…) that always keep proportions; here you control dimensions and percentage freely, even distorting if you disable the lock.
What if I only set the width?
The height is computed automatically to keep the aspect ratio (and vice versa).
Can I upscale a video?
Yes, but upscaling creates no detail — it interpolates. Always start from the largest original you have.
What does the percentage apply to?
Both dimensions: 50% halves the width and height (a quarter of the pixels).
