Why use this tool

  • Truly automatic

No need to hunt by hand for where the sound starts.

  • Real engine

ffmpeg, the industry standard, compiled to WebAssembly and self-hosted.

Frequently asked questions

Does it also remove silences in the middle?

No: only the start and the end. Mid-file silences are usually intentional (pauses), and we prefer not to touch them.

Which sensitivity should I pick?

Start with medium (−45 dB). If background-noise silence remains, try aggressive; if it cuts breaths, soft.

What if there is no silence?

The audio comes out unchanged: detection only trims what is genuinely below the threshold.
