Edit the metadata of an audio file

Reads the real tags from the file, lets you edit title, artist, album, year, genre and comment, change the cover art, or wipe it all.

Your files never leave your device

How to edit the metadata

  1. 1

    Upload the audio

We read the real tags and cover art.

  2. 2

    Edit what you want

Title, artist, album, year, genre, comment and cover.

  3. 3

    Download the file

The audio is not re-encoded: only the tags change.

Why use this tool

  • No re-encoding

The audio is copied bit for bit; only the metadata is rewritten.

  • Cover art included

Change or remove the cover in MP3, FLAC and M4A.

  • Full wipe

One click removes every tag: useful before sharing.

  • Private

Your audio never leaves your device: ffmpeg runs inside your browser.

Frequently asked questions

Is the audio re-encoded?

No: the audio track is copied as is, so there is no quality loss and no noticeable size change.

Which formats support cover art?

MP3, FLAC and M4A. In OGG/OPUS we edit the text tags but not the cover (its support is unreliable).

Why wipe the metadata?

Privacy: tags can reveal software, dates or personal comments before you share a file.
